Curlen Pittman 82 of Schenectady died Friday July 14, 2006 at St. Clares Hospital. Born in Whitater, NC he was the son of the late Jessie and Aredena (Bellamy) Pittman. An Army veteran of WWII, Curlen worked as an operating engineer in the boiler room for New York State before he retired. After retirement he worked at Annie Schaffer Senior Citizens and had always loved his pets. Curlen was predeceased in 2005 by his loving wife Elaine (Harris) Pittman. He is survived by Curlen Weaver, Zarachary Daniels, Joan Weaver, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held Friday morning July 21, 2006 at 11 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave. Schenectady, NY. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home Friday morning from 10 to 11 am prior to the funeral service. A special thank you to his great niece Swazette, Long time friend and neighbor Barbara Harris, great niece Joyce Pittman and the staff on S2 at Baptist Health, nursing and Rehabilitation for there care through his long illness.
