Cristi Burton Sahraoui

We sadly announce the passing of Cristi R. Burton (Sahraoui) on Dec 10th, 2022 at the age of 56. Born in Schenectady, NY to her father James (Jim) Burton and her mother Sharon La Rowe Burton. She prided herself as a devoted daughter, sister, and wife to Ali Sahraoui. She was a loving mother to her 3 children but her greatest joy in life was being a grandmother to her 6 grandbabies. Cristi never met a stranger, only a potential new friend and found her purpose in helping others. Most importantly, she celebrated the little things life offered.

She is preceded in death by her mother Sharon La Rowe Burton and her grandmother Norma La Rowe. She is survived by her father James Burton; her adoptive mother Dorothy Devito; her sister Starr Sarra and family, her children: Diana and Christopher Thornton, Stormy (3); Breana and Justin Cooper, Gavin (14), Madilyn-Jo (11), Gracelyn (9), Emmalyn (7), Maverick (5); Ian and Rachel Watson. Plus, the momentous number of friends along the way.

Please join us for Cristi’s celebration of life services at Bond Funeral Home in Schenectady NY on Jan 16th, 2023, at 11am. Visitation will be from 11am til 12pm. Service will begin at 12pm til 1pm.

We are accepting flowers in her memory [flowers must be sent to Bond Funeral Home by 10 am on Jan 16th]. All are welcomed.
