Corinne R Bordwell (Rogers)

Corinne R Bordwell age 92 passed away August 7,2022 in Highlands Ranch CO. She was born September 14, 1929, in Schenectady, New York to Mertie and Arthur Rogers. She was the youngest of four. She is preceded in death by her sisters Elizabeth, Shirley and her brother Tom. Tom always called her Queenie.

Corinne graduated from Mount Pleasant High in June of 1948. She worked as a Secretary at General Electric. She married her high school sweetheart in July 1950. They had six children. William, Patricia, John, James,Thomas and Elizabeth. She is preceded in death by her husband Bill and her daughter Patti and her grandson Jason. She is survived by her 5 children, 9 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Corinne sold her family home in 2005 and moved to Colorado to be close to her son John, her daughter Liz and her grandkids Cole and Kalee.

Corinne moved to Vidor Texas in 2007 to spend time with her son Tom and grandkids Amanda, Laura and Josh. She moved back to Colorado in 2010.

She lived independently until April of 2022. She decided it was time to “Let someone else do the cooking.” She moved into Covenant Living assisted living in April 2022. She thrived in her new community. She loved watching the birds, bunnies and squirrels outside her window. She even named her Squirrels. She often did puzzles with her friends. She was there only a few months but all who met her described her as delightful and felt as if they knew her for a long time. She always talked about her family. She lived a long life on her own terms. Her last Sunset on this earth was in the arms of her daughter and absolutely spiritual. God opened the gates and showed her the path. He held her hand through the darkness. Sunday morning, he called her home. Rest In Peace dear sweet Corinne.
