Constance "Connie" Ciampolillo (Ramsey)

Constance “Connie” Ciampolillo, 86, passed away in the arms of her loved ones at Ellis Hospital on Friday April 30, 2021.

She was born and baptized Constance Louise Ramsey in Wynantskill, a suburb of Troy, NY on July 11, 1934.

Connie loved swimming and in her early years spent many happy hours with her maternal grandparents Dr. and Mrs. Reichard at their residence on Glass Lake. Grammy Smith, on the paternal side lived in nearby Taborton.

After graduating from Troy High School, she married her husband George on April 27, 1952. Her love of children led her to work in various child care facilities. She did this in addition to raising her own four children and helping raise a couple of grandchildren.

Connie was an avid reader and favored women authors who wrote from a women’s perspective.

For over 37 years she shared in the activities of countless friends and acquaintances, many who were Friends of Bill.

Connie is survived by her husband George, her four children George Ciampolillo (Debbie), William Ciampolillo, Maribeth Hansen (Hans) and Michael Ciampolillo (Julie), her siblings William Ramsey (Barbara), Harry Ramsey (Midge) and Patty Kloka (Nick). She is also survived by her grandchildren Robert, Stephanie, Luke, Tessa, Connor, Liam and Gia as well as her great grandson Robbie. Connie also leave behind her nieces and nephew William Jr., Meghan, Emily, Lieth, Lynn, and Rachel.

A private family viewing will be held for all family members to attend. A celebration of Connie’s life for all will be held at a later date.
