Clayton Stead

Clayton E. Stead 72 of Stuart St. died Sunday January 30, 2005 at home. Born in Schenectady he was the son of the late Perry and Helen (Turner) Stead and the brother of the late Alfred Stead. An Air Force veteran of the Korean War, Clayton worked as a mechanic at Englerts Auto Parts in Schenectady for 38 years before retiring in 1994. Clayton was also predeceased in 1993 by his wife Beverly (Hall) Stead. He is survived by a son Mark A. Stead Sr. of Rotterdam and 3 grandchildren Mark Stead Jr., Christopher Stead and Fabian Stead. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon February 2, 2005 at 1 pm at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady, NY with a calling hour being held at the funeral home from 12 to 1 pm prior to the funeral service.
