Charlotte B. Lindsay 85, died Monday afternoon April 2, 2007 at her home in Rotterdam. Born in Schenectady, NY, she was the daughter of the late Douglas and Lottie (Panton) Chichester and a graduate of Draper High School., A homemaker, Charlotte was a member and former secretary of the Hillhurst Rebekah Lodge and a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church. Charlotte loved bingo, knitting and gardening. Because of her love for pansy's the family requests that pansy's be planted in your garden in her memory. Charlotte was predeceased in 2001 by her husband John D. Lindsay who she married on December 1, 1945. Survivors include her daughter, Sandra J. Hughes and husband John of Rotterdam, two grandsons, Adam Hughes (Megan Martin) of Rotterdam and Jason Hughes (Dr Makenzi Evangelist) of Round Lake, a step-sister, Doranna King (Roger) of Niskayuna and a cousin Ruth Munson of Ft Edward. Funeral services will be held on Friday morning April 6, 2007 at 11 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady, NY. A calling hour will be held at the funeral home on Friday morning from 10 to 11 am prior to the funeral service. Interment in Schenectady Memorial Park in Rotterdam, NY, Contributions may be made to Community Hospice, 1411 Union Street, Schenectady, NY 12308 or to the Messiah Lutheran Church, 2850 Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady, NY 12306 in her memory.
