Charles A Wolfe

June 22, 1943 — November 17, 2015

Charles A. Wolfe, 72, passed away after a short courageous fight with leukemia on Tuesday morning, November 17, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 22, 1943 in Niskayuna, Charles was the son of the late Charles V. and Dorothea (Jacobsen) Wolfe. Charlie was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School and worked as a machinist at the Watervliet Arsenal for 30 years until his retirement in 1993. Charlie loved spending time with his family and his faithful companions, Teddi, Lovely, and Ginger. A member of the National Rifle Association and an avid outdoorsman, Charlie loved visiting his camp in Wells, NY and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and hiking into many Adirondack lakes and ponds. Charlie is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Christine T. (Dashnaw) Wolfe, his devoted children, Donna M. Wolfe Sanchez of Scotia and Brian C. Wolfe (Jennifer) of Glenville, his brother, David A. Wolfe of Sharon Springs and grandchildren, Jordan Wolfe, Joseph Sanchez, Alexandra Wolfe and Nicholas Wolfe. A visitation will be held on Thursday evening, November 19th from 6-8pm at Bond Funeral Home, 1614 Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, NY. There will be a memorial Mass celebrated at 9am on Friday morning at St. Luke's Church, 1241 State St. in Schenectady. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in memory of Charlie to St. Luke's Food Panty, 1243 State St., Schenectady, NY 12304.
