Charles F. Van De Mark 69, of Pricetown died Thursday evening January 6, 2005 at Ellis Hospital. Charles was born on August 3, 1935 in Schenectady, N.Y. to Percy Van De Mark and his wife Mildred Moak Van De Mark. He graduated from Nott Terrace High School in 1954 and married his high school sweetheart, Angela R. DiMaggio in 1957. As life partners, Charles and Angela worked side by side to create a strong family and various successful businesses. He was owner of State Color in Schenectady and Adirondack Licks-N-Sticks in Adirondack, N.Y. The hours he spent playing Monopoly, making sandcastles on the beach and boating in the ocean and on Schroon Lake will be the most cherished memories remembered by his children and grandchildren. Charles is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Angela Rose Van De Mark; daughter Cheryl Van De Mark and partner Terri Ward of Duanesburg; daughter Carolyn Van De Mark and husband Paul De Marco of Princetown; son Charles F. Van De Mark Jr. and wife Carrie of Rotterdam; brother Garrin Van De Mark of Ft. Collins, CO.; nieces Nancy Van De Mark and Sue Krahnbuhl of Denver, CO.; grandchildren Amanda L. and Julia M. De Marco and Charles F. Van De Mark III. A memorial funeral service will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 pm at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12 noon to 2 pm prior to the funeral service. Internment in St. Cyril's Cemetery, Rotterdam, N.Y.
