Obituary for Charles J. Lewandowski, Jr,

Charles J. Lewandowski born March 8, 1937, passed away peacefully October 25, 2025.

Charles was born and raised in Middleburg, NY where he married his high school sweetheart, Dolly Cooke. Together they shared a lifetime of love and family. She predeceased him, surely waiting with open arms to welcome him home.

Charles owned and operated Charlew Builders with his brother Larry. His craftsmanship and dedication to quality earned him the reputation of a true master builder. He took immense pride in creating homes that would serve families for generations.

At home, Charles was meticulous in caring for his house, yard and many beautiful gardens, which were a reflection of his patience and care. He rarely missed a New York Yankees game and loved cheering them on from his couch often offering his own "coaching advice" along the way. Above all, Charles loved his family with all his heart.

Charles leaves behind his daughter Beth Longo, daughter Helen Murphy (Gerry), and his son Corey Lewandowski (Tricia) He was predeceased by his sons Charles Lewandowski Ill and Curtis Lewandowski. He was also predeceased by his son in law David Longo and his grandson David Longo.

Charles also leaves behind his brother Larry Lewandowski (Barbara), 7 cherished grandchildren, 5 beloved great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was truly blessed with a loving and close knit family. He also leaves behind his loyal companion and beloved dog Lance.

Charles will be remembered for his skill, kindness, and the love he built into every corner of his life.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to ALL the staff at Kingsway Arms Nursing Facility for all the love, support, and care shown to Charles and his family. They were truly the best and became like family to us.
