Charles E Bowman

Charles E. Bowman 90 of Schenectady died Saturday evening January 27th at The Avenue Nursing Home. Born in Johnstown, NY, he was the son of the late Frank and Nettie (Sprigs) Bowman. An army veteran of WWII, Charles was a leather tanner for many years before retiring for Wood & Hyde in Gloversville, NY He was a member of the Sacandaga Elks Club and a former member of the AME Zion Church in Johnstown. Charles is survived by his daughter and son -in law, Connie and Joe Richardson Jr. of Schenectady, his granddaughter, Jo-Shanna Richardson of Schenectady, his great grandchildren, Niyanna Harris and Jahari Richardson. He was also the brother of Walter, Harry, Beatrice, Eleanor Betty and Charlotte. Funeral services will be held on Thursday morning February 1st at 10 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY. A calling hour will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 9 to 10 am prior to the service. Interment with military honors will be in Saratoga National Cemetery.
