Charlene L Smith

Charlene L. Smith, 74, of Schenectady died Thursday September 2, 2010 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Steven and Pauline (Lawyer) Frasier. Charlene attended Nott Terrace High School in Schenectady. She was employed for several years at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home and was a homemaker. Charlene enjoyed Board games, Card Games and Dominoes. She loved beating her friends. Charlene had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. Charlene also enjoyed Disney Movies and spending time with the Grandchildren. A favorite pastime for her was sitting on the porch on a rainy, stormy night. Charlene is predeceased by her husband Russell E. Smith, one son Douglas Smith and 3 brothers and one sister. She is survived by two daughters Mechelle Smith-Donovan (William) of Schenectady and Shaunelle Smith of Schenectady, one brother Hoyt Frasier of Clifton Park. Also survived by five grandchildren-Quentin, Khansa, Nashayla, Amira, and Lamel as well as 2 Great Grandchildren- Isaiah and Malachi and a host of friends. A Funeral Service will be Tuesday 12 noon at the Gerald B. H. Solomon- Saratoga National Cemetery 200 Duell Road Schuylerville ( Please meet at the main gate at 11:45). Relatives and Friends are invited to attend.Everyone is invited to a gathering at the family residence at 744 Eastern Avenue in Schenectady immediately following services at the Cemetery.
