Catherine Schermerhorn

Catherine C. Schermerhorn 89 died Thursday afternoon February 24, 2005 at St. Clares Hospital. At the time of her death Catherine was residing at her daughters home in Rotterdam. Born in Schenectady she was the daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth Estenes and the wife for 56 years of the late John I. Schermerhorn who died in 1999. A homemaker, Catherine had worked for the General Electric Company during WWII and was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Scotia. Survivors include her daughter Annette L. Feuz and husband Gary of Rotterdam and a son John A. Schermerhorn of Scotia, a brother Joseph Estenes of Scotia and three grandchild; Wesley Feuz, Meghan Feuz and John Schermerhorn and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held private at the convenience of the family with burial in Evergreen Memorial Park.
