Catherine I Hollenbeck

Catherine "Peggy" O'Neil Hollenbeck, 88, formerly of Schenectady, NY, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2013 in Cape Coral, FL due to complications from Alzheimer's disease. Peggy was born on January 1, 1925 on Broadway Hill in Schenectady, NY, daughter of Ethel Hayden and Frank O'Neil. Peggy built her life in and around Schenectady working for Flight Test Co., GE and finally, Union College. Peggy married the love of her life, John D. Hollenbeck in June 1946 and was sadly widowed in October 1974. Peggy is survived by two daughters Diane M. Hollenbeck of Cape Coral, FL and Lynn A. Hollenbeck of Dorchester, MA. Her grandchildren included: Caitlin Fronce (19) of Cape Coral, FL, Quinlan Higgins (8) and Mason Higgins (4) of Dorchester, MA. Funeral Services will be held at 11am at Bond Funeral Home, 1614 Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, NY 12306 on Thursday August 15th, 2013. Calling hours will be Thursday 10-11am prior to the service. Interment will be privately held by family at Old Stone Fort Cemetery in Schoharie, NY.
