Carmella Demidio Severino

Carmella DeMidio Severino died suddenly on December 29th. Daughter of the late James and Teresa Frisco DeMidio.Carmella was born in South Schenectady, January 9, 1923. She met the love of her life in 1939, Joseph Severino (of Cutler St) and they were married 42 years until his death in 1983.They camped at Fish Creek for 41 years. They leave wonderful camping and fishing memories with their children and grandsons.Carmella went to Draper High School. She and Joe kept manicured flower and vegetable gardens. She was a wonderful cook, baker, craftsperson and mother to us all. Carmella had some exciting days taking bus trips to the casinos when other activities became limited.Carmella is survived by her children Karen, Judy Johnson and Joseph, her grandsons, Ryan and his wife Stacey; Brett Johnson (Woodinville WA); Jason (Buffalo NY) and Micah (Australia) and a great granddaughter Taylor Ryan Johnson.Brother and sisters Donald DeMidio, Mrs. Christine Parillo and Mrs. Helena Fiorillo and many nieces and nephews.Carmella is pre-deceased by her son, Dennis Severino who passed away in 1987 at 35 yrs of age. Her pre-deceased siblings are, Michael, Paul, Anthony, and Josephine Riggi.There are no calling hours. A memorial mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Church, 10:00am, Bradt St, Tuesday, January 6 and Christian burial at St Cyril's.
