Carmella (Renzi) Galligan

Carmella Galligan, 81, passed away on Monday November 6, 2023 at the Schenectady Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation with her husband at her side. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Gabriele and Philomena (Ruggiero) Renzi Sr.

She was a high school graduate and was employed as a teacher’s aide for the Schalmont School District.

Carmella was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.

Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her brothers Anthony Renzi (late Bernice) and Ralph Renzi and one sister Louise DiSieno (Late Carmen).

Carmella is survived by her loving husband Edward Galligan Sr., her two sons Edward Galligan Jr. and Michael Galligan (Nicolle), her two brothers Vincent Renzi and Gabriele Renzi (Late Carol) as well as one sister Marion Renzi and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Carmella will be on Tuesday November 14, 2023 at 11am at the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6-8PM at the funeral home.

Interment will be in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
