Carlos Ivan Rivera a.k.a C-LO, Age 51, passed away peacefully due to unknown heart condition heart failure on Saturday June 15, 2019. He was found at his home on Brandywine Avenue in Schenectady N,Y by his roommates approx. 230am
Carlos was born to Sergio Rivera and Ida Ortiz on June 20, 1967 at Coney Island Hospital. He was the youngest of 14 children. Grew up on 24th st in Coney Island N.Y. He started school at PS228 and ended in Lincoln High School. He was an exceptional swimmer. Carlos was one of a kind the goofy way he was could always make you smile when you were down. This man was an amazing father, g-pop, husband, brother, uncle, and best friend too many. He met his best friend/wife Margaret McCormick in 1984 on Stillwell Avenue at the train station. She got onto the bus while Margaret sat there eating her ice cream cone Carlos walked over to the bus window and asked "Can i get a lick?" and there his love life began. He was a professional welder and jack of all trades. he enjoyed every moment in life never looked at the negative and always followed his dreams. his life revolved around being with family and working 24/7 always doing anything he could to make sure everyone was taken care of he would give the shirt off his back to a stranger always nothing but kindness. he also enjoyed fishing, cooking, partying and being with his club. overall he was an amazing respectable lovable man imprinting on every person that had the pleasure to say they were in his life
Carlos Ivan Rivera was survived by his wife Margaret Vanhoesen. His children Tyena Moxham husband Carlton Moxham, Amanda Vasquez wife ShaQuinn Vasquez, Carlos Jr. McCormick fiancee' Amber Wade, and Maria McCormick fiance' Samuel King. His grandchildren Kevin, Pheobe and Izzy Moxham, Trey and Rocco Vasquez, and Moonshine McCormick. He had 6 surviving siblings Sergio, Aida, Robert, Maria, Vito, and Jaun Rivera of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends that will miss him dearly. We love you forever and always. .A service will be on Tues. 6-25 -2019 at 3:30pm at Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue. Visit from 2 to 3:30pm prior to service
