Carl Andy Anderson

Carl Andy Anderson, 75, of Rotterdam died Wednesday at Ellis Hospital after a Long illness. Carl is the son of the late Carl Anderson and Stella (Malinowski) Anderson. He was born in Hempstead, NY. He served in the US Marine Corp and received a Purple Heart, the UN Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. Carl was employed for many years as a Postal Clerk in the Schenectady Post Office. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War, Disabled American Veterans and the Order of the Moose- Lodge 251.He is predeceased by his wife Leona Jackowski Anderson whom he married March 22, 1952. Survivors include two daughters Sharon Sager( Douglas) of Scotia and Debra Lee A. Holcomb (Kenneth) of Schenectady, one sister Dorothy Silverberg of Jamaica, NY. Funeral Services will be Tuesday November 30, 2004 at 11AM at the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenctady. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend. Calling Hours will be Monday evening 6-8PM at the Funeral Home. Internment will be at 1PM Tuesday at the Gerald B.H. Solomon-Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.
