Bradley Jay Henderson, 76, of Gansevoort, passed away unexpectedly at his home on March 24, 2026. Born on February 7, 1950, in Albany, he was the son of Mutual and the late Naomi Henderson. Brad was a father, brother, partner, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was known for his kind heart and deep appreciation for friends, family and the natural world. A graduate of Schalmont Central School, Brad proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he continued his education at Schenectady County Community College. He went on to build a long and respected career, working with the New York State Police, General Electric, Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, and Kapal Industries, where he served as a Machine Repair Work Leader. His skill, work ethic, and leadership left a lasting impression on colleagues and friends alike. Brad cherished the beauty of nature and had a lifelong connection to the outdoors, especially through his love of hunting. It was more than a pastime to him, it was a tradition he valued deeply. Whether in the woods or telling stories afterward, those moments reflected a quieter side of him that brought him peace and fulfillment. He is predeceased by his mother, Naomi Henderson. Brad is survived by his Father mutual Henderson, Schenectady, NY; His three sons, Shaun Henderson of Gainesville, FL; Brandon Henderson (Greg Reinwald) of Schenectady, NY; and Chad Henderson (Jessica) of Saratoga Springs, NY, who carry forward his strength and enduring love. He is also survived by their mother, Gail Henderson of Saratoga Springs, NY; his brother, Mark Henderson (Rose) of Schenectady, NY; his beloved fiancée, Michelle Eidens of Stillwater, NY; and his cherished grandchildren, Ayden, Liam, and Tessa. Bradley’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A celebration of his life will be Tuesday March 31, 2026 at 6PM at the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Visitation will be from 4-6 prior to the service.
