Bonnie L Palmatier

July 27, 1947 — May 7, 2017

Bonnie L. Palmatier, 69, of Florida, NY passed away at Albany Medical Center on Sunday May 7, 2017 with her loving family at her side. Born in Albany, NY, she was the daughter of the late John J. and June (Brush) O'Gorman. Bonnie was a 1965 graduate of Mohonasen High School and also graduated in 1966 from Ellis School of Nursing. She was employed as an LPN for various hospitals and nursing homes. Most recently at Montgomery County Infirmary. Bonnie was member of the Carman Methodist Church in Rotterdam. She was a member of the Irish American Club. She was a girl scout. Bonnie also had volunteered at the Balboa Naval Hospital. She was a big fan of the Boston Red Sox and the NY Giants. Bonnie enjoyed her pets, her country home and the wild animals that surrounded her home. Bonnie is predeceased by her step father Richard Gentile Sr. She is survived by her loving son Thomas Palmatier of Florida, NY, one brother James O' Gorman (Diane) of Florida, one aunt Joy Newberry of Schenectady, one cousin Scott Newberry of Rotterdam, two nephews Bryan O'Gorman and Kevin O'Gorman (Victoria), a great niece Gracie O' Gorman and a great nephew Anthony Jones. A Celebration of Life for Bonnie will be Saturday May 20. 2017 at 12 noon at Carman Methodist Church 2350 Hamburg Street Rotterdam. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Contributions can be made in Bonnie's memory to the Wounded Warrior project or the Cookson Hills Indian Reservation or the charity of one's choice.
