Betty Carol (Primett) Wallace passed into the arms of her savior peacefully at the home of her daughter.
Betty was born September 17,1943 to Edgar and Marion Primett in Annapolis, MD. The young family then moved to Rotterdam and continued to grow on the farm on Schermerhorn Road.
Betty was a graduate of Schalmont High School class of 1962.
On January 25, 1969, Betty married William Wallace. The couple lived in Rotterdam and worked at the General Electric until Bill’s passing in 1993 and Betty’s retirement from Von Roll Isola in 1998 due to a stroke.
Betty’s beloved children include Tammy (Richard) Longo, Marie (Eric) Stark and Karolee (Stephen) Clemons and a stepdaughter Darlene (Duane) Marx, her grandchildren, Scott (Meghan) Longo, Christopher (Lindsey) Longo, Victoria Longo, Julia (Antonio) Rossi, Remo (Morgan) Santuccione, John (Shawna) Santuccione, Joelle Stark, Devin Stark, Erica Stark and Cody Stark great grandchildren, Kendall, Carson, Ella and Jack Longo, Colton Rossi and Trey Stark.
Betty is also survived by her sisters, Joan Schiavone (Mario), Marilyn Primett Zimolka and Heidi Slurff, her brother, Stanley Jay Primett as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Betty enjoyed many casino trips with family and friends. In recent years she spent much of her time tending to flower gardens that she loved to show her visitors along with the Hummels she had eagerly picked up at auctions.
Beside her parents and husband William, Betty was predeceased by her brothers, Edgar Jr., Ronald and Robert Primett as well as a stepdaughter, Debbie LeVeille.
A celebration of Betty’s life will be held on Friday, February 4th at 11 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady, NY. A visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5 to 7 pm.
Spring interment will be held at Viewland Cemetery in Rotterdam, NY
