Betty M Snyder

Betty M. Snyder, 89, passed away peacefully on Monday March 20, 2017 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady with family by her side. Born and educated in Schenectady, Betty was the daughter of the late Winfred and Eileen ( Greer) Grinter and a graduate of Nott Terrace High School. A homemaker, Betty was a former employee of the Craftsman Shop in Schenectady and the United States Postal Service. Devoted to her family, Betty loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, trips to Lake George and vacationing with her family. Predeceased in 2010 by her husband of 62 years, Steven J. Snyder, Betty is survived by her children; Kathleen Garbarini and Eileen Cunningham (Kevin) both of Schenectady, her grandchildren; Mark Garbarini, Christa Garbarini, David Garbarini and Heather Garside(Tom), great grandchildren; Theresa, Samantha, David Jr., Denice and Draven Garbarini, her sisters; Alma Willey of Schenectady, Brenda Sabo of CT., Roberta Sargent (Kenneth) of PA, her brother; Ronald Grinter (Connie) of Schenectady and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday morning March 24th at 11 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, NY. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday evening March 23rd from 6 to 8 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Entombment will be held in Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Colonie, NY. In lieu of flowers contribution may be made in Betty's memory to Catholic Charities Meals on Wheels Program, 1462, Erie Blvd. Schenectady, NY 12305 or to a charity of one's choice.
