Betty Mae Rowbotham, 87, of Rosewood Avenue, Rotterdam went with the Lord on Monday January 8, 2007 at home surrounded by her family. Betty was born in Schenectady and was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Agnes (Himmelwright) Lasher. She was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School. Betty was employed for 28 years in Customer service for the Student Loan Department of the former Schenectady Savings Bank. She was a member of the Princetown Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Princetown. Betty is predeceased by her husband Frank J. Rowbotham whom she married September 21, 1940. She is survived by two daughters Patricia Plantenberg (Michael) of Ontario, NY and Peggy Rudolph (Gary) of Esperance, 9 Grandchildren-Debbie Cumpston (Tom), Kim Peek (Brian), John Plantenberg (Theodora), Rebecca Seymour (Will), Sarah Plantenberg, Gary Rudolph Jr. (Lisa), David Rudolph, Cathy Titus (Justin) and Julie Rudolph as well as 10 Great Grandchildren, one brother in law Albert Rowbotham of Scotia and 1 nephew Glenn Rowbotham of Northville. Funeral Services will be Saturday January 13, 2007 at 11AM at the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend. Calling Hours will be Saturday morning 9-11AM at the Funeral home. Internment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Argyle, NY. Contribution's can be made in Betty's memory to the Princetown Evangelical Presbyterian Church 3662 Giffords Church Road Duanesburg, NY 12056 or to Community Hospice 1411 Union Street Schenectady, NY 12308.
