Bertha L Hallam

Bertha L. Hallam 81 of Scotia and formerly of New York City died Tuesday evening May 8, 2007 at Ellis Hospital after a long illness. Born in Burlington, NJ, Bertha was the daughter of the late George and Herta Singer. Bertha worked at St. Vincent's Hospital in New York City for over 35 years before retiring. She was the mother of John J. Duchesne (Mary Lou Skibinski) of Schenectady and the late George Hallam and also survived by 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday afternoon May 12, 2007 at 2 pm at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY. A visitation will follow the memorial service at the funeral home from 2:30 to 4 pm. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Community Hospice, 1411 Union Street, Schenectady, NY 12309
