Bertha Francisco

Bertha Francisco 98 passed away Saturday January 15th at the Grand at Guilderland.

Born and educated in Schenectady, Bertha was the daughter of the late Burton and Flora (Rockefeller) Bishop.

A homemaker, Bertha was a former employee at Cheltingham Manufacturing in Schenectady for several years. A member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bertha was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.

Predeceased by her husband of 47 years Ralph F. Francisco in 1989, Bertha was also predeceased by her daughter Linda DAlessandris and her siblings, Lorenzo Bishop, Stanley Bishop, William Bishop, Eva Young, Louise Hackabeil and Virginia Simmons.

She is survived by her daughter, Geraldine Ferraro (Mark Brodbeck) of Rotterdam, her son-in-law Donald DAlessandris of Rotterdam, grandchildren, Gina Faucett (Robert), Donald DAlessandris, Toni-Ann Smith (Clarence) Anthony Ferraro and Dustin Ferraro (Jenean), 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate Bertha’s life will be held on Wednesday January 19th at 11 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 to 11 am prior to the service.

Interment in Evergreen Memorial Park in Colonie, NY.
