Bert E Marshall

Bert E. Marshall,64, of Scotia passed away on Thursday May 11, 2017 at Albany Medical Center after a courageous battle with leukemia. Born in Albany, NY, he was the son of the late William E. and Jennie (Rogers) Vandenburg. Bert enjoyed fishing, bowling, gardening and barbecuing. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Bert loved meeting people and cooking for them. The family would like to extend a special "Thank you" to Albany Medical Center D4 Oncology for their compassionate care of Bert. Bert is survived by five loving sisters Patricia Del Savio (James), Elizabeth Butler (Michael), Karen Vandenburg, Terry Tompkins (Randy) and Jennie Lockhart and three loving brothers Kenneth Marshall, Keith Marshall (Susan) and William Vandenburg (Kimberly) as well as 17 nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Bert will be Tuesday evening 7PM at the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Calling Hours will be Tuesday evening 5-7PM prior to the service.
