Bernice " Doodles" Edna Stiehl

Bernice "Doodles" Edna Stiehl, 85, passed away on Tuesday December 27th at her home in Florida. Born and educated in Schenectady, Aunt Doodles was the daughter of the late August A. and Edna (Holtman) Stiehl Sr. and a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School. An employee of the General Electric Company for over 30 years, Bernice was a member of the GE Quarter Century Club, the GE Women's Club, the former Albany Street United Methodist Church and was an avid doll collector. Beside her parents, Bernice was also predeceased by her brother, August A. Stiehl Jr. and her sister, Doris Stiehl Jones. Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Linda Queen, Cheryl Van Brunt, Deborah Thurman, Nancy Lysogorski, Douglas Jones, Mark A. Stiehl and Karen L. Stiehl and her sister-in-law, Doris Stiehl. Funeral services will be held on Friday January 13th at 3 pm at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, NY. Interment will be in Parkview Cemetery next to her mother and father.
