Bernice J Lamalfa (Lamp)

Bernice J. LaMalfa, 81, of Rotterdam passed away Wednesday May 11, 2016 at the Kingsway Arms Nursing Home in Schenectady. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Mildred (Peterson) Lamp Sr. Bernice was a graduate of Draper High School. She was employed as Secretary for the Schenectady Insurance Agency. Bernice is predeceased by her husband John R. LaMalfa, whom she married July 4, 1954, her sister Shirley Craft (Late husband Calvin) and one brother in law Roger Gauthier Sr. We would like to express our thanks for the care and compassion shown Bernice while she was living at Kingsway Arms, both in Memory Care and in the Nursing Home. Bernice is survived by her brother Raymond Lamp (Catherine) of Rotterdam and her sister Charlotte Gauthier of Hartford, NY as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Bernice will be Saturday May 21, 2016 at 10:30am at the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A calling hour will be held prior from 9:30-10:30AM at the funeral home. Internment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park in Colonie. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Bernice's memory to the charity of one's choice.
