Bernice J Cole

Bernice J. Cole, 71, passed away following a long illness on Friday February 28, 2014 at home in Seattle, WA. Born in Schenectady, Bernice was the daughter of the late Clifford and Sally (Rockenstire) Nelson. A homemaker, Bernice enjoyed singing. Besides her parents, Bernice is predeceased by one daughter, Jean Pierce and 2 sisters, Ida Mae Figler and Melvina Borst. She is survived by her 3 children, Walter Cole, Jr. (Ruth) of Schenectady, Scott Cole (Hope) of Sloansville and Wanda Smith (Kevin) of Schenectady, as well as 22 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her former husband Walter S. Cole, Sr. and her brother in law, Raymond G. Cole. A visitation will be held Thursday, March 20, 2014 from 6-8pm at Bond Funeral Home, 1614 Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, NY 12306. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
