Bernadette R. (Lynch) Crowningshield 70 of Schenectady died Tuesday afternoon December 7, 2004 at home after a long illness. Born in Schenectady she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Margaret (Kennedy) Lynch. Bernadette was a graduate of Woestina High School and had work as a library aid and lunch aid at Fulton and Van Curler Schools in Schenectady for over 30 years before her retirement in 1999. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, its ladies auxiliary, the churches rosary society and was an active volunteer for many of the churches activities. A member of the Duanesburg Senior Citizens and St Elizabeth's Auxiliary of the Knights of St Johns, Bernadette was a very loving and caring person who has touched so many people's lives. She was always there to help out anyone in need. She had a special love for all her children she met through the years at school. Bernadette is survived by her husband for 48 years George A. Crowningshield, two children; George A. Crowningshield Jr. of Schenectady and Michele A. Crowningshield of Rotterdam, a granddaughter; Whitney Lee Crowningshield, two sisters; Mary J Durante of Rotterdam Jct. and Catherine Techmanski of Rotterdam and several nieces and nephews. A memorial funeral service will be held on Saturday morning December 11, 2004 at 11 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, NY .A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9 to 11 am prior to the memorial service. Contribution may be made in Bernadette's memory to Community Hospice, 1411 Union Street, Schenectady, NY 12309
