Beatrice M Horodowich (Dorning)

Beatrice M. Horodowich, 91, of Schenectady passed away at Capital Living Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Schenectady on Wednesday May 24, 2017. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Katherine (Keegan) Dorning. She was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School in Schenectady. Beatrice was a devoted home maker. Her favorite pastimes were flower arranging, gardening and canning. She was a member of St. Gabriel's Church in Rotterdam. Beatrice is predeceased by her loving husband Michael J. Horodowich whom she married June 9, 1946, one daughter Pamela A. Stahl, one brother James Dorning and one sister Jane Kline. Beatrice is survived by her loving son Douglas M. Hordowick (Karen) of Fairfield, OH, five loving grandchildren Heather Sparks (Thomas), Tiffani Moore (Todd), Jason Hordowick, Justin Stahl (Alison) and Jessica Griesbeck (Aaron). She is also survived by five loving great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Beatrice will be Wednesday May 31, 2017 at 11:30AM at the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Visitation will be 11-11:30AM prior to the service. Interment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Beatrice memory to http://www.metavivor.org/ or to the American Cancer Society.
