Barbara Sue Beyer, 41, lost her courageous battle with colon cancer and left with her guardian angels, with her loving family surrounding her with undying love on August 4, 2015. Barb was born on August 22, 1973 at the Little Falls Hospital to her parents, Lois (Stalnaker) Carter and John A. Ashe. Barbara attended James A. Green School in Dolgeville. An excellent student, Barbara was inducted into the Junior and Senior National Honor Societies. She graduated in 1991, earning her Regents Diploma and the famous "Alphie" Award, which only very few students achieved. She was active in art club, drama club, band, chorus and Varsity Cheerleading. Barbara went to the College of St. Rose where the received her Bachelor's degree in Biology. She worked for several years as a lab technician at Albany Medical College. Barbara was a strong, genuine, giving person and all around wonderful woman who will be missed by all who knew her. Barbara was predeceased by one brother, John Ashe. She is survived by her loving husband of 14 years, Ethan S. Beyer, her cherished sons, Jacob, Daniel and Nicholas Beyer of Rotterdam Junction, her parents, Lois J. Carter of Dolgeville and John A. Ashe of Dolgeville, brother, Scott Ashe of Virginia Beach, step-brother, David Carter of Sandusky, OH and her half-sister, Angela Ashe of Washington, PA. She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles and cousins. A visitation will be held on Friday, August 7 from 5-8pm at Bond Funeral Home, 1614 Guilderland Ave., Schenectady. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning, August 8th at 10am at St. Margaret of Cortona Church, 2 Putnam St. in Rotterdam Junction. Inurnment will be private at Woestina Cemetery.
