d. March 23, 2023

Ashley V. Higgins (37), was born on Christmas Day, December 25th, 1985, in Idaho Falls, ID.

During her childhood, Ashley attended school in both the states of Idaho as well as California, having graduated from Skyline High School, in June 2004. She was a very athletic young woman, having participated in both school as well as town sports; soccer, softball as well as cheerleading. She even participated in outreach ministry, on multiple occasions, throughout the course of her life. Ashley started attending Royal Beauty college in the fall of 2004, in Temecula, California before being in a catastrophic vehicle collision in October 2004, within the same city. Following the collision, Ashley was hospitalized for several months, comatose. However, she miraculously awakened from being in a coma, in 2005, after surviving multiple life-threatening injuries, which were sustained at the time she was in her vehicle collision. Ashley was an exceptional citizen, despite her prognosis in 2005, being deemed a cognizant, non-verbal (mute) quadriplegic, confined to a wheelchair.

Since then, Ashley has resided with her biological mother as well as Personal Assistant, Wendy Adams, the entire while. She has been a resident of the state of New York, since 2009. Residing in a small township, located in upstate NY, in the quaint valley of Schoharie County; a historic county known for The American Revolutionary War as well as nicknamed the “The Bread-Basket of America”.

Ashley passed away, peacefully, in a hospital located in Otsego County, NY, on Thursday morning, March 23rd, 2023, in the presence of her mother. A celebration of life service will be held in honor of Ashley, at the Wood Funeral Home, in Idaho Falls, ID, in the near future.

Ashley is survived by: Her biological mother, Wendy Adams of Cobleskill, NY. Her younger sister; Ariel Adams and younger brother; Jacob Clouse of San Diego, California. Her biological dad, Keving Higgins and younger brothers; Kellen and Kadan Higgins, of Idaho Falls, ID.

Ashley never wed, neither gave birth to children. However, Ashley was a peaceful spirited woman of the Christian faith. She was a woman of virtue. She loved wholeheartedly and was truly loved. She truly cared about people and enjoyed family gatherings. Ashley will be greatly missed.
