Arturo Rivera

Arturo A. Rivera 82 formerly of Rotterdam died Saturday evening May 27, 2006 at Ellis Hospital. Born in Chihuahua, Mexico, he was the son of the late Alvaro and Guadalupe Rivera. A 1942 graduate of El Paso High School, Arturo served with the US Air Force from 1943 to 1964 and later served with the reserves until 1974. He worked as an Architectural Engineer at White Sands Air Force Base in Arizona. He was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption. Arturo was predeceased by his son Richard in 2004. He is survived by his wife Ruth L.(Charette) Rivera who he married December 18, 1949, five children, Dawn Rivera and fianc? Charles Payton of Ballston Lake, Renee' Rivera of Hagerstown, MD, Dale Pisarczyk of Niskayuna, Dee Martin(Donald) of Clermont, Fl. and Tina Rivera of Glen Falls, sixteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning June 1, 2006 at 9 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home Wednesday evening May 31, 2006 from 6 to 8 pm.
