Arthur C. Clay 82 of Rotterdam died Friday December 3, 2004 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Lakeland, Fl. after a short illness. Born in Topeka, Kansas, he was the son of the late Arthur and Lavida (Snyder) Clay. A Navy veteran of World War II, he worked for the General Electric Company for over 30 years retiring as a foreman in the mid 1980's. Arthur's wife of 58 years Anna (Dunne) Clay died March 7, 2004. He is survived by two sons; Gerald M. Clay and his wife Ann Marie of East Greenbush and Timothy P. Clay and his wife Gladys of Lakeland, FL., six grandchildren; David Clay, Jonathan Clay, Jeremy Clay, Kristen Wente, Jennifer Clay and Amy Tracy; four great grandchildren, Lauryn and Tyler Tracy and Torrey and Aidan Wente and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Schenectady Memorial Park Mausoleum on Wednesday December 8, 2004 at 2pm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. There will be no calling hours. Contributions may be made in Arthur's memory to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osbourne Road, Loudonville Road, Latham, NY 12211.
