Arlene V Ruzzo

Arlene V. Ruzzo, 77, died on Dec 13, 2014 at home, surrounded by the love of her family and friends. She was a lifelong resident of Schenectady and was employed by G.E. and then the L&M Market on Broadway for over 20 years where she had her finger on the pulse of Bellevue. Arlene and Augie enjoyed many summers at their camp on Lake Pleasant in Speculator, N.Y. Arlene was an absolutely devoted and selfless wife, mom, grandmother, sister and friend. She adored her family pets and always took care that her bird feeders were filled and that the squirrels were fed. Arlene was born on May 1, 1937 to Alfred and Theresa Mirault. Arlene is survived by her husband Augustine Ruzzo, her children Patricia (John) Karwatowski, Robert Ruzzo, Steven (Michele) Ruzzo, Lynne (Paul) Brown; loving grandmother to Brent, Justin and Leanne Karwatowski, P.J. and Sophia Brown, Gracie Ruzzo and Anthony Ruzzo. She is survived by her sisters Evelyn Mirault and Carol Wilkins, and many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her manyfriends, especially Wilma Stekeur. In addition to her parents, Arlene was predeceased by her beloved sister, Marie Mastro. Arlene was a brave, selfless, lion-hearted woman who will live on in our hearts forever. The family would like to thank Dr. Arthur Vakiener and Dr. Anthony Mastroianni for their wonderful care. Funeral Services will be Wednesday 10 am at the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenectady followed by a Mass at 10:30AM at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church 210 Princetown Road Rotterdam. A calling hour will be Wednesday 9-10AM prior to the mass at the funeral home Memorials are preferred in Arlene's honor to the Animal Protective Foundation 53 Maple Ave., Scotia, NY 12302 or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
