Anthony Zeppetelli 87 of Glenville died Sunday April 30, 2006 at Ellis Hospital after a short illness. Born in Schenectady, Anthony was the son of the late Peter and Nicoletta Zeppetelli and attended Schenectady schools. A World War II Army veteran, he worked for the City of Schenectady for over 25 years retiring from the engineering department as a survey assistant in the late 1970's. Anthony was a member of St Anthony's Church, an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and making homemade wine. He was a former handball champion and semi pro baseball and football player and for many years managed the Country Inn Softball League. Anthony is survived by his wife of 62 years Lucy A. Zeppetelli (Lezzi), two children, Jo-ann M. Zeppetelli of Topsfield, MA and Peter A. Zeppetelli(Ann) of Schenectady, two granddaughters, Katie Jean and Josie Casey Zeppetelli both of Schenectady, a niece, Millie White (Peter) of Schenectady and several other nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning May 3, 2006 at 11 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9 to 11 am prior the funeral service. Interment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
