Anthony J "Tony" D'Alessandris

Anthony (Tony) D'Alessandris passed away peacefully Wednesday March 16th at Ellis Hospital surrounded by family. Born in Fonda, Tony was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Zannitto) D'Alessandris. A graduate of Mont Pleasant High School, Tony honorably served with the United State Marine Corps. From 1947 to 1950. A 35 year employee at the General Electric Company, Tony retired as a molder in the foundry. A member of the GE Quarter Century ,the Rotterdam Elks and the Suscripiat Canora Society, Tony was also a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Anthony enjoyed all of the time he spent with his family and friends. Tony also appreciated his caregivers, homecare nurse's ,aides and the Visiting Nurses. Predeceased by his wife H. Patricia D'Alessandris, his brothers; Vincent and Henry D'Alessandrsis ,sisters; Nancy Nardini and Genevieve Friello and nephew; Dr Michael Nardini. Tony is survived by his nephews and nieces; Joseph F. D'Alessandris, Vincent H. D'Alessandris, Donald A. D'Alessandris, Lynn L. D'Alessandris, Mary A. Cieszynski, Henry J. D'Alessandris, Lawrence S. D'Alessandris, Jo-Ann Ronca, Linda Marie Beeble, Ralph Friello, Joan Intilli, Bernard Nardini, Dr. David Nardini, Robert Nardini, Christine Nardini and Kathleen DiDonato, many great nieces and nephews, his life long friend Louis Mauro and his beloved pet dog Barbaro. Funeral service will be held on Monday morning March 21st at 10:15 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave., Schenectady followed at 11 am at Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 1255 Pleasant Street, Schenectady, NY where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 9 to 10:15am prior to the funeral mass. Interment with military honors will be held in St Cyril's Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Anthony's memory to the Our Lady of Mt Carmel Building Fund.
