Anna Parashak

Anna Parashak passed away on Sunday May 6th at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. Born in educated in Poland, Anna worked in Germany, as an interpreter where she met and married her husband Peter in October of 1949. They moved to the United States in 1951 and settled in Rotterdam. A homemaker, Anna was a former bookkeeper for the Imperial Department Store in Schenectady. She loved to cook enjoyed gardening, swimming and oil painting. Anna and Peter loved to travel and enjoyed ballroom dancing. She was also a member of St John the Evangelist Church in Schenectady. Predeceased in 2005 by her husband of more than 54 years, Peter Parashak and also 2 brothers. She is survived by her 2 sisters, 2 sisters-in-law as well as several nieces and nephews residing in the U.S. Canada and Poland Funeral services will be held on Wednesday morning May 9th at 10:15 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave., Schenectady followed at 11 am at St. John the Evangelist Church, Union Street, Schenectady, NY where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday evening May 8th from 5 to 7 pm. Interment will be in Schenectady Memorial Park in Rotterdam, NY.
