Anna Glasser

Anna Sciachitano Glasser at rest on September 12, 2006 at Glendale Nursing Home after a short illness. Born in Messina, Italy of December 23, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Anna DiStefano Sciachitano. Anna moved to Amsterdam, NY from Italy with her parents and late brother, Giuseppe Sciachitano and two sisters, Marie Fagg of Rotterdam and the late Teresa Jackson. Anna was married on December 11, 1954 to William L. Glasser who died in 1972. Anna and William moved to Rotterdam and lived there for over 52 years. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and sewing and was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church. She is survived by her four children; Wayne C. Glasser and wife Kathy , Larry L. Glasser and wife Geri both of Pattersonville , Robert J Glasser and wife Barb and Anthony W. Glasser and wife Betsy both of Rotterdam and nine grandchildren; Valerie, Larry, Brian, Kevin, Katie, Robbie, Brandon, Jordan and Matt. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning September 16, 2006 at 8:15am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, NY followed at 9 am at St. Gabriel's Church, Hamburg Street, Schenectady where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be held at the Bond Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6 to 8 pm. Entombment in Schenectady Memorial Park Mausoleum.
