Angelina M Chamberland (Rossi)

Angelina M. Rossi Chamberland, 81, of Schenectady passed away on Tuesday May 9, 2017 at Albany Medical Center. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Pasqualina (Attanasio) Rossi. She was a 1954 graduate of Mont Pleasant High School in Schenectady. Angelina was employed as a secretary for Terbush and Powell Insurance Agency in Schenectady. She later devoted her time and energy as a homemaker to raise her family. Angelina was a life long member of Immaculate Conception and Our Lady Queen of Peace Parishes in Schenectady and Rotterdam. For Angelina family was most important, she enjoyed cooking for her children and grandchildren. She loved family vacations to the Jersey Shore, in her leisure time she loved doing word search puzzles and her occasional trips to local casinos with her daughter Tina and grandson Tommy. She is predeceased by her loving husband Laurent (Larry) W. Chamberland whom she married on February 28, 1958. Angelina is survived by her five loving children Tina M. Battaglia (Joseph) of Niskayuna, Susan M. Hefke of Rochester, Lawrence J. Chamberland of Glenville, Monica M. Lucey-Runfola (Ross) of Niskayuna and Anthony E. Chamberland (Christine) of Niskayuna, one loving brother Frank S. Rossi (Rose Marie) of Ballston Spa. She is also survived by seven loving grandchildren, Christina Battaglia, Annemarie Battaglia, James Hefke, Nicholas Hefke, Thomas Lucey, Joseph Battaglia and Dominic Runfola. Funeral services for Angelina will be Tuesday 8:45 AM at the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady followed by a Mass at 9:30 AM at Our Lady Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 210 Princetown Road Rotterdam. Calling hours will be Monday evening 5-8 PM at the funeral home. Entombment will be in the family mausoleum at St. Cyril and Method Cemetery in Rotterdam. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Angelina's memory to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or Our Lady Queen of Peace Church.
