From humble beginnings to a successful Rotterdam business owner, Paul never shied away from hard work or a good deal. He was best known as the owner of Hungry Hill Auto which was in business for 52 years.
He enjoyed horse racing and being around people, never one to just sit home and he always had a story to share. He spent many a day visiting friends and sharing memories. Paul was a huge supporter of his family’s passions whether stock car racing, snowmobiling or boating he was always so proud and could not wait to tell you about Andrew’s exploits!
He is survived by his partner Ella-Mae Ebert; son John Askew, “step children” Bill (BobbieJo) Beaton and Dawn (Mark) Smith; grandson Andrew Askew; “step grandchild” Joshua (Kim) Smith and Mikala Smith and many nieces (family). He was pre deceased by his brothers Bill and Richard, his parents and grandparents.
Please join the family for a celebration/remembrance of Paul on Friday March 6th 4-6pm at Bond’s Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to St. Jude’s or the Alzheimer’s Association
