Alma Szymanski

Alma Szymanski 87 died peacefully Tuesday evening January 17, 2006 at home surrounded by her family. Born in Schenectady she was the daughter of the late Leo and Laura (Winnie) Stahl. A homemaker, Alma had worked at the General Electric Company for several years. Alma was predeceased last year by her husband of 59 years Stanley F. Szymanski who she married on July 22, 1946. She was also predeceased by her sister Evelyn Aldershoff. Survivors include her nephews David Aldershoff and wife Barbara, Dennis Aldershoff and Joseph Davis and wife Mary and a niece Bonnie Marette and husband Michael and several other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning January 21, 2006 at 10 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6 to 8 pm. Interment in Schenectady Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to Community Hospice, 1411 Union Street, Schenectady, NY 12308 or to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osbourne Road, Latham, NY 12211.
