Alma M Suits

Alma M. Suits, 89, died Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Glendale Nursing Home. Born January 20, 1926 in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Mae (Ostrander) Suits and the niece of the late Gertrude Suits. Alma moved to the family farm on Suits Road as an infant and resided there until1986 when she relocated to Rotterdam. A graduate of the former Draper High School, Alma had a 42 year career with the General Electric Company, retiring in 1986 as an Employee Relations Specialist in the Insulating Materials Department. A life time member of the Princetown Evangelical Presbyterian Church, she was a member of both the GE Women's Club and the GE Quarter Century Club. Alma is survived by her many cousins especially Sandra Suits and Marlene Laraway, who's assistance was always appreciated by her. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday afternoon April 7th at 2 pm at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY with a visitation from 1 to 2 pm prior the funeral service. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Guilderland,NY. The family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to her health care providers and Community Hospice of Schenectady for the support given and the compassionate care shown. Contributions may be made in Alma's memory to a charity of choice.
