Alice R Gehring

Alice R. Gehring, 87, of 12th Street Schenectady died Saturday November 25, 2006 at St. Clares Hospital in Schenectady after a long illness. Alice was born in Oneonta, NY and was the daughter of the late William and Rose (Vysehrad) Jones. She was a graduate of Draper High School. Alice was employed for 26 years as a Supervisor at the Watervliet Arsenal, retiring on August 29, 1980. She was a member of the Scotia Glenville Senior Citizens. Alice is predeceased by her husband Adolph Gehring whom died June 16, 1977. Survivors include two sons Ronald Applebey of Glenville and Franklin Applebey of Schenectady, three sisters Margaret Spade of Port Alleghany, PA, Beverly Lockrow of Clifton Park and Beatrice Jones of Glenmont, NY also survived by one Grandchild Cynthia Matthews. Funeral services will be 2PM Tuesday at the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A Calling Hour will be held 1-2PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Internment will be in Schenectady Memorial Park in Rotterdam.
