This obituary is a celebration of the life of our beloved Alexis. To him, life was family—a sacred gift from God.
Alex was a cherished son, a loving brother, and a second father to his nieces and nephews. He left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. His smile, kind heart, love for music, and unique spirit were gifts from God and an inspiration to many—especially to his nieces and nephews, who inherited from him a love for music, video games, movies, and television shows.
Even while silently carrying the weight of his health struggles, Alex entrusted his pain to God and chose love above all else. With a servant’s heart, he made sure his family was protected, comforted, and surrounded by joy. Quietly, he bore what we never saw, offering instead compassion, patience, and unwavering kindness to those he loved.
He was strong by the grace of God and resilient through his faith. He fought for his life not for himself, but so he could continue to be present for his family. He endured unimaginable pain and struggles in silence, trusting God, because his deepest calling was to love, protect, and remain with his family for as long as God allowed.
He is survived by his parents, Juan Bautista López and Ycidra López; his sisters, Carlista López and Marleny López; his nieces and nephews, Christian Dion Dixon and his fiancé Alexis Decoster, Luis Mikal Sánchez, Leilanis Sánchez, and Angelique Sánchez; along with many other relatives and loved ones who mourn his passing today, yet thank God for the time shared with him and trust in His perfect will.
During this time of profound sorrow, we humbly ask for your prayers and loving support as our family walks through this great loss on earth and a beautiful gain in heaven. We trust in God’s promises and ask Him to surround us with His peace, comfort our hearts, and grant us strength during this season of mourning.
Our Alex will live forever in our hearts and in God’s eternal promise.
We thank God for the time our Alex was able to live with us. In those years, he taught us the true meaning of love and the genuine happiness found within a family.
Until we meet again in the presence of the Lord. Fly high, our beloved Alex; God receives you in His holy arms. 🕊️
