Alexander Stevenson Jr.

Alexander Stevenson Jr. 96, passed away peacefully at his home on May 2nd, 2024. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 70 years, Mary Jane Stevenson.

Alex graduated from Mont Pleasant High School in 1947. He worked at the Gas Turbine Department for General Electric Company. Upon retirement, he drove a bus for Head Stan where he enjoyed the interaction with children. He had a love of animals as he fed the birds, ducks and stray cats on a daily basis. He also had a cat named Callie and two Golden Retrievers named Benson and Annie.

Alex is survived by five nieces: Marylou Caputo (Joe), Billie Jo D'Angelo (Joe Guzman), Debbie lachetta (Mike), Toni Kremzier (Gary) and Pamela LaVallee (Larry). He also had a special relationship with his neighbors who were like family: Maylon and Sharon Luft and The Vassello Family. We would like to thank Hospice and Kimberly's Angels for the loving care they provided.

There will be a graveside service at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Troy Schenectady Road on Wednesday May 8th at 11 a.m.
