Adeline F Allen

Adeline F. Allen 79 of Schenectady died Tuesday morning January 17, 2006 at St. Clares Hospital after a short illness. Born and educated in Schenectady she was the daughter of Vincent and Bertha ( Brozyna) Sienka and a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School. A homemaker, she worked a the General Electric Company for a short time after high school and later was co-owner of Allen's Confectionary in Schenectady. Adeline was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and was a loving and caring wife ,mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Adeline was predeceased by her daughter Amy Baltazar. Survivor's include her husband of 59 years John W. Allen who she married on November 30, 1946, four daughters; Beth Kost and husband John of Schenectady, Catherine Devine of Rotterdam, Dawn Ferrier and husband Robert of Gansevoort, and Elaine Gregoire and husband Dan of Puerto Rico, five grandchildren Tiffany and Vincent Martucci, April Blessing, Brenda Benardo and Jorden Ferrier, three great grandchildren; Tyler Blessing ,Ashley and Amanda Benardo, several In-Laws , nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held Thursday morning January 19, 2006 at 10 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to Community Hospice, 1411 Union Street ,Schenectady, NY 12309 or to Alzheimer's Association, 85 Watervliet Avenue, Albany ,NY 12206. The Allen family would like to thank the Schenectady Paramedic's, the Staff at St. Clares Hospital and Community Hospice for there care and support during Adeline's illness.
